Louis Murphy, 22, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release.
An officer saw two vehicles crash into each other near the intersection of Tennessee and Baltic avenues at around 4:52 p.m. Murphy walked away from his vehicle and the officer chased him down to detain him.
Investigators said Murphy had several active arrest warrants and didn't have a valid driver's license. He was also found with 100 bags of heroin and six grams of cocaine.
Murphy was charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone. He was also given single charges of money laundering and possession of a controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
Murphy was held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
